Just a Little Experimenting

Sparrow Avenue, Feathers
While printing I do have a tendency to get bored and want to mix things up a bit. So while I have been experimenting with the Black and Gold look, I have been experimenting with some of my other images to see if they might work.

What do you think??

Have a great weekend
and if you are in Toronto
today is the opening of
the 138th CNE.

Tiffany Falls, lPart 2

Had to show a few more pictures from our trip to Tiffany Falls.

It was a beautiful sunny day and apparently we weren't the only ones who thought of exploring.

I do love a climb but we didn't need to do this one.

And just to prove that we were actually there
instead of carving our names somewhere,
it was far less obtrusive to just take a portrait.
It was an easy hike,
which was in consideration
of Roxy's capability these days.
But she did love the good
sniffing to be had!

Tiffany Falls

The other day we had the opportunity to slip away to somewhere with a little bit more green.

And a little bit more water.

Nothing like the sound of a babbling creek.

Nothing like the sight of a cascading falls,

Coreopsis

This is my production period whereby I do nothing but build stock.
That means I am cutting printing and sewing just about everyday, when the girls and I aren't out walking.
The other day, coming home from one such "around the block" walk, I saw my coreopsis hugging the black iron urn. The blacks and blues and rust of the urn looked so nice juxtaposed with the yellow.

Dolly

Hope you are not too freaked out by this. I do realize that without the history, it can look a little disturbing, especially for the start of a new week. But I was cleaning one of the rooms in the house and came across it.
This was a much loved dolly. It's body was replace at least too time because it was loved so much. Her hair, as you can see, is beyond belief: so matted and lost.

She was first found at a flea market, in a box along with so many other little dolls.
She was pulled out and hugged.
She was a keeper.
And was named "Dolly".
Our little girl went up to the old man who was selling his collections and gave him a kiss which I am sure he remembered for the rest of the day.

Mini Bee

Sparrow Avenue, Mini Bee Pouch
There is now a mini Bee pouch to accompany the larger one that I was making a few weeks ago. This one is really cute as it is 4 in. x 3.75 in. and it has a nice antique brass zipper. Hopefully I will have it in the shop very soon.

Have a lovely weekend.
